New Delhi, Sep 15 (Fresh Headline) An unidentified man, seemingly aged 30 years, was crushed to death by a dumper in the north Delhi area on Friday, police said.
According to police, they received a police control room (PCR) call at 1.06 a.m at the Kashmere Gate police station, reporting a fatal accident near Marghatwale Mandir on the Ring Road.
A police team rushed to the scene and discovered the lifeless body of an unidentified man lying in a pool of blood with severe head injuries.
“After conducting an initial inquiry, it was determined that a dumper truck was involved in the incident. It was also revealed that auto driver named Shahrukh Khan, a resident of New Jafrabad, had pursued the dumper after the accident. Eventually, the dumper came to a halt near the Police Picket Khajuri,” Deputy Commissioner of Police, North, Sagar Singh Kalsi said.
“Consequently, the dumper was seized, and its driver, Ajay Kumar, a resident of Mainpuri district in Uttar Pradesh, was apprehended. Further investigation is ongoing, with efforts underway to identify the deceased,” he added.
