Mumbai, September 5: On Wednesday, September 4, NCP (SP) President Sharad Pawar made a strong case for the legislation to be passed by the Maharashtra assembly on the lines of the Aparajita Women and Child (West Bengal Criminal Laws Amendment) Bill, 2024 passed in the West Bengal Assembly on Tuesday, September 3, amid the rising number of crimes against women. On Wednesday, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi had lost his confidence after the recently held Lok Sabha elections. He also said that the time is not far when the Modi government will be removed.

While addressing a poll rally at Sangaldan in Jammu and Kashmir’s Banihal Assembly constituency, Rahul Gandhi also claimed that the Central government was run by PM Modi, Home Minister Amit Shah and their corporate friends.
