Hurricane Helene has been upgraded to life-threatening Category 4 and is impacting several areas. To combat the issue, Tampa General Hospital in Tampa Bay area, Florida has installed an aquafence around the hospital’s perimeter to keep it protected from the hurricane. The aquafence is water-impermeable and can withstand a storm surge up to 15 feet. In the now viral video, we see massive flooding outside the Tampa General Hospital; however, the facility’s premises stay undisturbed due to the aquafence. In the past, the aquafence has worked through several storms and rain events and prevented them from impacting the hospital’s operations.
