Mumbai, September 30: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday inaugurated and laid the foundation stone of various projects of INR 11,200 crore in Maharashtra via video conference. His visit to Pune scheduled on September 26 was cancelled due to heavy rains in the city. Prime Minister Modi virtually inaugurated the Pune Metro section from District Court to Swargate, which also marks the completion of the Pune Metro Rail Project (Phase-1).

Acting on a tip-off, a joint search operation was launched by the security forces at Manial Gali area in Rajouri’s Thanamandi. There was an exchange of fire between the security forces and terrorists. The area has been cordoned off.

Israel launched strikes at Houthi targets in Yemen on Sunday as the country’s Defence Minister Yoav Gallant declared that “no place is too far” for their forces. In a statement, the Israeli Defence Forces (IDF) said that dozens of aircraft, including fighter jets, power plants and a seaport at the Ras Issa and Hodeidah ports in Yemen, were targeted in the airstrikes.
