Mumbai, September 13: India’s national security advisor Ajit Doval met Russian President Vladimir Putin on Thursday, September 12, at the Konstantinovsky Palace, where he conveyed a message from Prime Minister Narendra Modi regarding his recent visit to Ukraine. Doval informed Putin that Modi had expressed a desire to brief the Russian leader about his talks with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
On Thursday, CPI(M) general secretary and former Rajya Sabha MP Sitaram Yechury passed away at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) in New Delhi, where he was admitted on August 19 with pneumonia. He was 72. His family has donated his body to AIIMS, New Delhi, for teaching and research purposes. His body will be handed over to the hospital on Saturday.
Amid a stand-off with Kolkata doctors, West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee on Thursday said she was ready to quit her chair for the sake of justice. “I am even ready to quit for the sake of justice for the common people. But they don’t want justice. They just want the chair,” she said. Please, send Mr Modi our warm regards and best wishes. He is a great friend of ours,” Putin said during talks with NSA Doval.
