There will be a split Eid al-Fitr in the United Kingdom due to differences in the rules used for declaring dates. According to Almanaar Muslim Cultural Heritage Centre, Eid 2025 in the UK will be celebrated on March 30. However, a website moonsighting.org.uk displays the announcement that says the Shawwal 1446 crescent was not sighted in the UK on March 29. Therefore, Ramadan shall complete 30 days and Eid shall fall on March 31.
The new moon of Shawwal 1446 has not been sighted anywhere in New Zealand today, as per latest reports. Therefore, Ramadan shall complete 30 days and the first day of Shawwal will be on March 31. Accordingly, Eid or Eid al-Fitr, which is observed on first day of Shawwal, shall fall on March 31 in New Zealand.

The Australian National Imams Council, Australian Fatwa Council and three other religious entities have announced that Eid 2025 will be celebated in Australia on March 31. In a statement, they said the Shawwal 1446 crescent is unlikely to be sighted on March 29. Therefore, Ramadan 2025 shall complete 30 days on March 30 and Eid al-Fitr shall fall on March 31.

Eid 2025 Date: When Is Eid al-Fitr in Asutralia, New Zealand, UK, US and Canada?
Eid is celebrated on the first day of Shawwal month, which commences after Ramadan or Ramzan. Muslims in Australia, New Zealand, UK, US and Canada started their Ramadan 2025 fasting from March 01. Hence, March 29 marks 29th of Ramadan. If the moon is sighted today, Ramadan 2025 (Ramadan 1446) shall end and Muslims would celebrate Eid on March 30, the first day of Shawwal 2025 (Shawwal 1446). In case the moon is not sighted, Ramadan shall complete 30 days and Eid will be observed on March 31. Notably, a section of Muslims in Australia and New Zealand began their Ramadan fasting from March 02, based on the Ramadan moon sighting in their respective regions.
